Welcome to Badenoch Fishing Charters, a locally owned and operated family business specialising exclusively in estuary fishing on the Clyde River. Based in Batemans Bay, NSW, we’re just a 2-hour drive from Canberra and around 4 hours from Sydney, making us an easy and rewarding coastal escape.
Our pride and joy is the DNA 570 CCX, with a new custom-built DNA 730 CCX arriving soon, both purpose-designed for calm, inshore estuary conditions. Every charter is tailored to your group, whether you’re keen to fish the river, enjoy a relaxed cruise through the Clyde, or soak up the stunning surrounds while spotting local wildlife — including our resident eagles that often swoop down for a feed. We do not operate offshore, allowing us to focus on a safer, more comfortable and family-friendly estuary experience.
To better suit families and first-time anglers, we’ve refined our business to ensure everyone — including the kids — can enjoy a relaxed and rewarding day on the water. We cater for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced fishers, with a friendly and knowledgeable skipper on hand to guide you every step of the way.
We’re also dog-friendly, so your furry family member is welcome aboard when the charter is booked exclusively for your group, ensuring comfort and safety for all.

Custom-built in New Zealand and perfectly suited to the Clyde River, this modern pontoon boat offers outstanding stability, plenty of space to move and a smooth, confidence-inspiring ride. With top-tier fishing gear, modern electronics and a layout that works for all ages and abilities, it’s the ideal platform for families, first-time anglers and keen fishers alike. More room, more comfort and more time fishing means a better day on the water — and that’s exactly what we deliver on every Badenoch Fishing Charter.
Experience:
- No experience is required
- Guests must be fit and able to move around the boat
- No infants or children under the age of 12 on these vessels unless accompanied by an adult
- Sea sickness may occur though not very likely on the river - We recommend you see a pharmacist and start taking tablets the day before if required.

Your fishing destination may be determined by the prevailing weather conditions. To ensure an enjoyable and safe experience, we stick to areas near the shore, and we specifically target rivers and creeks. Not only does this offer a more pleasant fishing environment, but it also increases the possibility of spotting and feeding the majestic eagles as they soar above.
We understand that weather can be unpredictable, so rest assured that we will keep a close eye on it. In the event that we need to cancel a charter due to unforeseen weather conditions, you will be promptly informed at least 8 hours before your scheduled departure time. At that point, you have the option to re-book for another suitable date or receive a full refund.
Please keep in mind that cancellations made within 2 days of the scheduled charter date may result in the loss of the deposit. We do this to ensure fair planning and preparation for our fishing adventures. Nonetheless, we always prioritize your safety and comfort, and our experienced team will make every effort to provide you with an unforgettable fishing experience, rain or shine.

Our prices are very affordable and competitive - you will surely get what you pay for! Yes, we all want cheap prices, who doesn’t? But don’t let a few dollars less compromise you and your group having a great day out. Remember you do not go out fishing every day! But when you do go out you want a boat that’s clean and comfortable with not too many people on board.(max booking 4 adults). You may also want a fast boat that can get you to the fishing spots quickly and give you the most fishing time possible. It’s also important to have a friendly and knowledgeable skipper whose skills will help you in making your day one to remember. But wait! there's more! Our staff will clean and fillet your catch on return !

Cancellation fees :
During peak periods, including school holidays, Christmas, New Year, and long weekends, cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking will incur a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
For off-peak periods, cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee.
